Goals of the Explorer Program includes delivering early childhood education by developing self-esteem, motor skills, creativity, self-mastery, and autonomy; helping the child with gradual separation as their days begin to get longer in a school setting, and developing skills in language and communication, socialization, logical and sequential thinking, literacy, and mathematical concepts.
Environmental responsibility, sustainability, and social impact are topics we introduce to children at this age. Their sense of wonder, compassion, and wanting to make a difference is the heart of our program. Keep in mind that for small children, school is about having fun and acquiring the need to be imaginative and learning about actitivites they’re already passionate about—that is what foster’s creativity.
As integral components of our classrooms, learning centers offer developmentally appropriate opportunities for children to interact with each other, with materials, and with concepts and ideas. These centers include block building, dramatic play, recycling, earth science, music, manipulatives, sensory motor, art, library, language arts, computers, story time, music, ecology, math, and cooking.
The Explorer Program uses innovative approaches that are designed to spark students’ interest in generating, exploring, and answering queries that help children find answers through exploration, experimentation, and conversation, which all contribute and facilitate to your child’s Kindergarten Readiness.
